Oden and Salmon
I made this dish for dinner last night.

Chicken Roll
For preparation, sprinkle salt + pepper and soak the chicken breast into the grated daikon (daikon-oroshi) for 30 min. This method worked to soften the chicken.
Then cut and open the chicken into flat, place mozzarella cheese, shiso and mentaiko.
Roll it and cook in the skillet.
Very soft and yummy. I have other stuffing idea would be mushrooms, onion, some herbs, shredded umeboshi and so on for next time.
I ate half and put the rest into today’s bento!

Kabu (turnip) Salad, Tamagoyaki and Shiitake Saute

boiled vegetables and daikon leaves saute

Spicy Pork and Eggplant
I woke up at 7:10 this morning. It was not early, but it was not too late for cook something for bento.
Turnip were preapred the night before. Slice and immerce them into the water with little salt for a while like 5 min, then soke into the marinade ingredients (vinegar+sugar+salt+chili pepper). I kept them in there over night. I love these picked turnip.
Other stuffs are stir-fry of shungiku and pork ham with chirimen, cooked with sesami sauce. It was delicious.
Today’s bento is very simple but colorful.
I got this very very yellow potato from my friend a week ago. I’ve never had this kind. It is quite sweeter than normal potatoes. Really a strong taste. I just microwaved to save time.
Other things are:
Steamed shungiku, sawara (fish) cooked in skillet (ready to cook), mini tomato
I have been suffering from toothache again and loosing energy on cooking these days…
I don’t know whey, but I always cook the rice harder every time I have toothache. I tried to manage already cooked rice get softer by steaming. I think it worked somewhat.
