I was tired this morning and I counldn’t prepare much things.

This is teh fish called “Akauo” in Japanese, I could not find the English name.
A shop woman in the supermarket “Maruki”, which is my favorite place to shop, strongly reccomended me this for dinner. She was so confident telling me that this is the fish you can cook as main dish.

I cooked steamed vegetables by my new tool, seiro (steam basket) which I bought on saturday.
It was fun and so easy.
Unfortunately, I have been suffering from bad toothache since early October and had hard time espacially on last weekend. I didn’t have energy to cook during these days.

I didn’t have time for making bento. Today’s bento is called “Kaki-fry makunouchi” from a bento shop ”BENTOMAN” near office.

Yesterdays bento. I had to finish this hanpen bought on saturday at Maruki super market.
At Maruki, a shop woman always recommend something offering little discount. I had no plan to buy hanpen on that day, though. I love the cheerful atmosphere at the store.

Nukazuke (very shiny in this photo) of daikon on the rice. I love the taste, but it can be more better, I guess. I just started this pickling in last weekend, it will be better after a while. It is said that good nukadoko lasts 100 years. Unbelievable.

Sanma are in season now and so delicious!
Last thursday’s delivery of vegetable assort surprised me with the big bunch of carrot leaves. I had no idea what to do for that. But it is said that carrot leaves have richer nutrition than carrots. I knew it can be tempra, but I don’t want to cook at this time because making tempra rather takes me a lot of preparation [...]
My cousin girl moved in to my neighborhood in this summer and now she definitely needs bicycle to shop around this area. Also it would be a must for visiting me anytime, though her apartment is just 20 min walk from mine, but it would be more convenient by bicycle especially in night time.
