Kaki Fry bento from BENTOMAN

Kaki Fry bento from BENTOMAN

I didn’t have time for making bento. Today’s bento is called “Kaki-fry makunouchi” from a bento shop ”BENTOMAN” near office.

It has various things which I cannot prepare into one bento. I don’t want to buy these every day, but it is interesting to find what kind of things in there.  Tastes good, but it is not good idea to depend on these all the time, thinking about the MSG seasoning stuff. Also I always feel blame with the wasted packages.

Interesting post. I am allergic to MSG, it gives me bad headaches in the back of the head. I am hoping to travel to japan next year, and wonder if MSG is used frequently in Japanese take-away food?

    Many thanks.

Actually, when I visited the U.S., I noticed that the people are more sensitive about MSG than in Japan. Japanese people are not so much concerning about MSG and most of the restaurant and other take-away foods store do not mention if they are using MSG or not.
I have heard the foods of seven eleven are better among those CVS chain.
I found a site which provides the listing of organic / healthy food restaurant, they are listing the restaurants in Tokyo only though…

I guess these restaurant woundn’t use MSG. So far, it would be difficult to avoid MSG in take-away foods.
For your reference, MSG is called “KAGAKU CHOMI-RYO” (chemical food additives). I recommend you to ask people by this word!
I hope you will enjoy your stay!
