New camera

I changed my cell phone and now I believe my photoes have improved.
Unfortunately, bento is not new, all things are from the stocks from the fridge.

Sawara Bento

I just bought a pack of ready to cook sawara and cooked in skillet sprinkling sake.
Takana and chirimen for the topping of rice.

Greasy?

I visited my friend last weekend and she took me to a mentaiko shop called Ohkubo.
I could not believe there is a shop only for mentaiko.
Small shop, but they sell very good mentaiko and other several nice tsukemono stuff.
I bought 200g mentaiko and 1 pack of takana. Both are so great as I can eat rice [...]

This salmon deson’t look like having teriyaki sauce, but believe me I certainly cooked in teriyaki sauce!

Previous post was for the bento of Nov. 18. Here is today’s.
Last night, I didn’t prepare rice and made it marron rice. I bought a package of cooked marron and just tossed it rice cooker. I got a hint from CVS’s marron onigiri that I had recently. The rice was cooked in dashi and I felt [...]

I didn’t realize that I haven’t prepare rice until I woke up!!
Couscous helped me. Thank you.
I cooked chicken breast, eggplant, enoki mushroom with canned tomatoto eat with couscous.

All the vegetables were very yummy. But only poor thing was that the rice was bit harder since it was at the bottom of the rice cooker.

Steamed satsuma-imo (sweet potatoes) again. It is good with my favorite “creamy nuts dressing” which I’m keeping in the fridge at work.
For the first time after since recovering from toothache, I tried another Nukazuke. Shown at the top of rice. This is nukazuke of Kabu (turnip) and really tasty.
Another boom for me is using katsuobushi [...]

I got a lot of Kabu (turnip) including its leaves.
I made Nibitashi (saute and then boil in dashi) with leaves and made salad shredding the root.
Some shredded nagaimo also added.
The steamed satumaimo (Sweet potato) was really sweet.

Both croquette and cutlet are from local deli.
Steamed potato, Komatsuna saute with sausage.
