Last night, me and a friend of mine went to Tenshin-Ro, Chinese restaurant near my apartment. It was 4th Wednesday and we were supposed to get half price gyoza. But unfortunately it was no half price yesterday. We were shocked but we had good ramen and normal price gyoza.

I tried “Douchi” for the first time for Eggplant stir-fry.
Mabo-Eggplant or Mabo-Tofu are my favourite and I have read the article Douchi is a must for those.
I’ve been cooking them by Douchi-Jang which is bottled paste, but this time, I tried real Douchi.
Less sweeter than the paste and really good!

Is it that weird to stir-fry the cucumbers?
Why ? I love it!!
Today’s was simply seasoned with Dashi-Shoyu.
We went to “Tenshin-Ro” for “Half Price Gyaza”last night.
The regular price had become jpy350/serving (8pcs.) , up from jpy320. Then half price gyoza become jpy180 which used to be jpy160.
It is probably because all the ingredients costs have been appreciating dramatically these days. “Half Price Gyoza” cannot last in these circumstances I guess.

I almost gave up to make Bento today because I did not prepare rice last night.
I managed to prepare rice early in the morning.
Mackerel again.
Rice: Brown Rice and Rice + Zakkoku Mix
Salad: Cabbage, Cucumber, kaiware and Onion + Kiwi
I cooked the Eggplant last night which I bought in grocery near by the office.
jpy200/bag containing 5-6pcs.
Tastes good. But eggplants become high calorie with too much oils.
Be careful.
